Lockout Tagout Training

Our Lockout/Tagout Training course meets all federal Occupational Health and Safety legislative requirements for all provinces. The course has 5 modules with each section having a corresponding review quiz to reinforce and verify the participant’s understanding of the material. All questions are reviewed to ensure complete understanding of not only the answer but the principals behind it. Once each module has been successfully completed you will take the Lockout/Tagout Training Final Test and be awarded with a certificate upon success.

Course Sections:

  1. Introduction to Lockout/Tagout – tags, energy isolating devices, types of hazardous energy
  2. Using Lockout/Tagout Procedures
  3. Types of Lockout/Tagout – multiple point/person, group lockout
  4. Responsibilities in the Workplace

Course Goals:

The central objectives for this course is to provide participants with:

  • The information required about hazardous energy to understand the risks in different situation
  • The importance of locking out machinery to minimize the risks associated with hazardous energy
  • Information about which situations require lockout/tagout and the different procedures used in those situations
  • An understanding of why group and multiple person lockout procedures are required in different situations
  • The responsibilities of the worker and employer in terms of lockout/tagout procedures and reporting
